Setup

  1. 1Run the installer — it places the panel and every caption font exactly where they belong.
  2. 2Restart Premiere Pro or After Effects.
  3. 3Open Window → Extensions → Captik.
  4. 4Sign in with your Captik account and hit Generate.

Prefer manual install?

Download the signed com.captik.panel.zxp and install it with the free Anastasiy's Extension Manager. Install the caption fonts from the panel's fonts folder afterwards — the setup file does this automatically, manual installs have to do it once.

Troubleshooting

The panel doesn't appear under Window → Extensions
Fully quit and relaunch the app after installing. The panel needs Premiere Pro or After Effects 2022 or newer.
After Effects can't export audio / video
The panel configures AE's output module automatically (AE 2019+). On the rare build that rejects it, create a one-time Output Module template named Captik Audio (Edit → Templates → Output Module, Format WAV, Audio Output On) — and Captik Video for burn-in.
Inserted layers use the wrong font
The installer bundles every template font; if one was skipped, re-run the installer or install the fonts from its fonts folder, then restart the app.
Want captions without a cloud render?
Use Add SRT captions in the panel — it drops a standard, fully editable subtitle file straight onto your timeline. Included with the Pro plan.
Reporting a problem?
Include the version line from the bottom of the panel (panel build + host version) so we can reproduce it.
