Terms of Service

Acceptance

By using Captik, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

Captik transcribes videos and produces styled captions (burned into the video or as SRT files) using speech models from Sarvam AI and ElevenLabs.
We provide the service "as is." Transcription accuracy varies with audio quality, accents, and background noise.
We are not responsible for errors in the output. Always review your captions before publishing.

You own everything you upload. By uploading, you grant us a temporary license to process the file for transcription.
You must have the right to upload the content. Do not upload content that violates copyright, privacy, or the law.
We do not claim any ownership over your videos or the SRT files we produce from them.

The free plan includes a limited number of exports. Paid plans lift those limits as described on the pricing page.
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Refunds are issued at our discretion; if an export fails after being charged against your plan, contact us within 7 days.
Purchases made from outside India are priced in US dollars and sold through Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it charges your card, adds and remits any sales tax or VAT due where you live, and issues your invoice. Monthly plans bought this way renew each month until you cancel from your account, and you keep the plan until the end of the month you paid for.
Annual plans are not refundable after 14 days from purchase.
Removing the watermark from a single video is paid per video and is not refundable: each payment unlocks the video it was bought for, for good.

Do not use Captik to transcribe content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
Do not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or automate requests to our API without permission.
Do not resell access to the service or share account credentials.

Captik is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.
Our total liability in any dispute is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days prior to the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
You may cancel your account at any time. On cancellation, your data is deleted within 30 days.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
